This coming October I am looking forward to offering three new classes at the Chehalem Cultural Center!
Here is a bit more information about each coming class:
Watercolor/Mixed Media in Landscapes (Intermediate Level) - Tuesdays, October 1st through 22nd from 10am to noon. Here we will be working with the transparent watercolor medium as well as the use of some opaque gouache ( a medium much like watercolor, but having the new ability to add layers ). We will be focussing on the study of painting the beauty of landscape.
Beginning Watercolor Landscapes - Tuesdays, October 1st through 22nd from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. In this class Christine will be teaching the basics of watercolor, including topics like color theory/color mixing, brushwork, and the preliminary strategies of watercolor. This class will be great for the absolute beginner, or someone just getting back into watercolors.
Painting With The Masters: Oil Painting With Monet - Wednesdays, October 2nd through 23rd from 10am to noon. In this class Christine will be leading each class inspired by the brushstrokes and life of Claude Monet, the beloved French Impressionist. Monet painted so many different kinds of scenes - from waterlilies, to countrysides, to city scenes and more. This class will include a bit of extra art history and color theory!
